Specifics of the application of Law №57-FZ and its upcoming changes

On 7 May 2008 the Federal law №57-FZ “On Procedure for Foreign Investments in Business Entities of Strategic Importance for Russian National Defence and State Security” came into force.

The adoption of the Law raised a number of issues relating to its practical application and the legal implications of the new regime for approving transactions.
The programme will include the following:

• Presentation by the FAS of Russia on «Control over the procedure for foreign investments in business entities of strategic importance for Russian national defence and state security»
• Upcoming changes to Law №57-FZ
• «Q&A» session
