CMS, one of the top international law firms, announces the promotion of Vladimir Zenin, Head of M&A, to corporate partner of the Moscow office, with effect from 1 January 2017. In his new role Vladimir will continue to contribute to one of the world’s leading practices regularly recognised as #1 Corporate and M&A adviser in Europe and CEE by Bloomberg, Chambers & Partners, Mergermarket, Thomson Reuters and others.
Vladimir specialises in corporate and M&A transactions and has advised clients on a variety of acquisitions and disposals, joint ventures, corporate restructurings and private placements. His experience covers a wide range of industry sectors, including oil and gas, mining, power, logistics, infrastructure, industrials and life sciences. Prior to joining CMS, Vladimir had spent nine years with a corporate department of a magic circle firm in Moscow and London and, prior to that, another five years with two major US law firms.
”Vladimir joined CMS as corporate counsel last year and has already grown our deals portfolio with a number of significant mandates. We are convinced that his broad experience, high qualification and energy combined with high-profile CMS platform will result in a strong synergy and take our Russian practice to a new level,” – Jean-Francois Marquaire, the Managing Partner of the Moscow office comments.
In 2016 Vladimir gained further recognition in the market and joined the individual ranking with Chambers & Partners. The sources describe him as “very practical, good with clients and a pleasure to work with".
